HELEN JANES, B.A. (HONS), ACA, ACII

 

Helen qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte & Touche in London.  She is also a Chartered Insurance Practitioner, holds an honours degree in Modern Languages (German, Spanish, Czech) and also speaks French.  She has extensive experience in the licensing and management of captive insurance companies and mutual funds.  Helen previously held managerial positions with the AMS Group and KPMG in the British Virgin Islands.

 

Helen volunteers as an Emergency First Responder for the charitable organization Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR), responsible for saving lives at sea.  She is also Treasurer on the Board of Directors of VISAR.  In her spare time Helen often arrives at the office with baskets of produce reaped from her land.

 

 

 

VISAR is the officially recognized search and rescue organization in the BVI and responds to distress calls 24 hours a day. Volunteers give up their own time and come from all walks of life.  Visit www.visar.org for information.
